Requests for expert quotes and interviews

I receive many requests for expert quotes and interviews. Unfortunately, these are time-consuming requests that I simply can’t accommodate any longer. With very limited exceptions, I’m unable to accommodate requests for interviews or expert quotes.

If you a staff journalist working for a top-tier media outlet and need an expert quote or interview for your story, I may be able to help you out. If this is you, feel free to contact me through my website contact form and provide your work email address. Examples of top-tier media outlets include: The New York Times, The Wallet Street Journal, The Associated Press, CBS News, NBC News, BBC, Al Jazeera, CNN, TIME, Forbes, Fox News, MSNBC, USA Today, and Newsweek. (I’m unable to accommodate requests from separately managed sub-sites like USA Today Blueprint and Forbes Advisor that are not part of the news organization, though I am happy to write for these sites as a paid contributor.)

Additionally, I am able to accommodate requests for interviews or expert quotes from television news outlets in the Minneapolis/St. Paul and Des Moines, metro area, including network television news, the Star Tribune, and Pioneer Press.

Please use my contact form and give me your company email address address (@nytimes.com, @wsj.com, etc.) so that I can reply to you directly. Only requests from staff journalists working for top-tier media outlets may receive a response. All other requests will be deleted.
